Environment and Sustainability
As a manufacturer in the steel industry, we are aware of our environmental footprint. We work systematically to reduce energy consumption, waste, and CO₂ emissions throughout the entire production chain.
Our environmental initiatives include:
• Implementation of energy-efficient production processes
• Continuous investment in new technology, including compressors with low energy consumption and heat pumps with heat recovery
• Implementation of green electricity and LED lighting
• Source separation and recycling of production waste
• Documented compliance with applicable environmental legislation and ISO 9001 standards
Social Responsibility and Working Environment
Our employees are a key resource, and we prioritize a safe, healthy, and developmental working environment. We work in accordance with Danish and international guidelines for occupational health and safety, including the requirements of the Danish Working Environment Authority.
Our efforts include:
• Equal opportunities regardless of gender, age, nationality, or background
• Close cooperation with our suppliers to ensure proper working conditions throughout the value chain
Documentation and Reporting
We report on our CSR activities and results in accordance with applicable EU regulations in our annual climate report.
Future Goals
We have set the following strategic goals for the period 2025–2030:
• Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emission reduction of 98%, which is achieved in 2025
• Implementation of fossil-free steel when it becomes available on the market
CSR-mærket
As a company, we are pleased to be able to help people on the fringes of the labour market and give them a meaningful everyday life, and we are therefore proud to have received Horsens Alliancen’s CSRpeople label.
We see it as our duty to take social responsibility, and for several years we have employed staff in flexible job schemes. We value them highly – they perform important functions for us and contribute to a good working environment.
